Block Explorer

This project involves developing a unique Block Explorer. Unlike existing explorers that share similarities due to standard platforms, this design stands out with its distinctiveness. The usability matches that of existing explorers, providing a new UI that is both fresh and familiar to users.

Problem

The current block explorers exhibit a common UI, lacking diversity in design. A fresh and innovative UI is sought to break the design monopoly on the platform.

Goal

The objective was to craft a distinctive UI for the Block Explorer, setting it apart from existing ones while maintaining the same level of usability.

Design Process

Primary Research

In the design process, starting with identifying what are the important sections that are to be including on landing
page of a blockchain explorer platform. Some section that made up to the list were:- Statistics of the blockchain transactions, along with that, infographics of the transaction history and the price, latest block, transaction rate were some other sections identified. From the perspective of designing a similar platform, I also included the point in which I gathered insights of what such platforms look like.

User Interface

During the design process, I collaborated closely with blockchain developers to create the primary 35 pages of the Block Explorer. These pages contain vital information about various aspects of the blockchain, encompassing transactions, transaction details, blocks, block details, and essential insights on L1-L2 transactions and vice-versa. The designed pages provide comprehensive and relevant information essential to the blockchain ecosystem.

I also incorporated the user profile section of a block explorer where a user can access his personal and his/her chain related information.
